Ah, ok then. Wasn't sure if there were any other Hillsborough's I might be confusing that one with, the PHI CWA has a fair number of towns with the same name as I'm sure you already know wink.png

Yeah, I knew it was Somerset County. I know what you mean about many towns with the same name here, as it gets confusing sometimes.

Updated PNS just sent.

BTW, liquid-equivalent back home was 0.69"... NAM wasn't all that bad for a few places. Thermals were a bit off at times. I guess this storm was a lesson in that, even if you get good rates, but dynamic cooling is being fought by warm advection, don't get your hopes up. Then again, they did get 2" not far to the north.

I've been at work all day but my dad just texted me he measured 2" on the board up in Mt. Villanova. Not a bad storm for November.

You must be located in the NW corner of Villanova township, as on campus at 480ft we didn't have more than an inch. That 0.5-1 mile northwest made a big difference in terms of the temps in that 900-950mb layer just above the surface. I was watching sfc temps all day, and I don't think I saw Tom's place in St. Davids fall below 33.0F. We were also at 33F in Villanova all day, so obviously surface temps weren't the problem, it was the warm tongue up at 925-950 as we discussed last night, that kept melting the snow.

As a result, I saw my 2nd day this month w/ snow falling with virtually nothing to show for it. That's gotta be a record. 2 whole days of snow in November but not more than an inch. We started off as some rain earlier this morning, but a mostly snow "falling" event. I can't complain much though as my hometown in Monmouth booked 12" for the month.

Would you have been happier if it had been some ice pellets that didn't stick? wink.png

I'm glad I had snow falling and melting as opposed to a cold rain. The latter is miserable with cold drops running down the back, soaked socks, etc. At least with snow it's enjoyable to walk around.

the lowest it got was 33...the majority of the event was spent in the 33.2-33.5 range. It wasn't the elevation it was the distance away from 95. I think im a good mile or so further nw and that helped. Places like kop had atleast an inch of snow and they are like 150ft
