ORH_wxman
Sultan wouldn't be able to contain himself if this prog was for 24h out and he was in NNE...big WINDEX signal at 200 hours.
NaoPos
That 2nd s/w is really impressive....I doubt its possible for to ever become the main player, but if it did, then we'd be talking MECS here. As it is, we'll probably see the first one become a bit bigger tomorrow. I can't imagine it ends up this suppressed, but given the time frame and the Euro superiority, its possible. The 2nd shortwave gives the fishes a fun snow storm ;-)! Lol.
powderfreak
Winter storm season must be coming when you see a slew of posts from ORH between midnight and 2am. Good sign right there.

Indeed it is! If I could choose between the two camps of runner vs. whiff, I think I'd push for the runner. At least get a good storm into the mix and keep things active. It's not like it's going to kill our snowpack at this point. With the huge spread of the ensemble members yesterday (didn't look at last night's yet), I guess a whiff could be as much a possiiblity as anyhthing else. Note: 06z GFS ticks a smide cooler, but primarily rain. At least it's not lslipping away yet.
moneypitmike
Happy Thanksgiving, all! My p/c keeps me in the 40's today and tomorrow, ZFP says low 50's. KFS ftw?

Arctic hounds in this Euro run, still time for something to pop. Wind chills 76/77 style, Nick, Snowlover LES overload.
moneypitmike
BOX really down playing the notion of a wintry system. Meanwhile, tomorrow night looks very 'meh', though that's been the case for a while. THERE ARE STILL SEVERAL FACTORS TO RESOLVE...BUT CONFIDENCE FOR A MORE DYNAMIC AND WET SYSTEM IS RISING FOR THE MID WEEK TIMEFRAME

Tropopause_Fold
Still looking SWFEish on the ens. I only looked quickly but just based on the SLP look I wonder if there are two camps in the ec ens - some cutting and some suppressed

Tropopause_Fold
Euro is interesting - you could tell it was going to be flat very early on just based on the way the trough took shape over us this weekend.
CoastalWx
Pretty much nothing agrees with the euro op right now including its own ensembles.
Ginx snewx
Nothing like waking up to the smell of Turkey, stuffing in the oven and the chatter of the family cooks. Peppermint coffee creamer might be the best invention ever.
CoastalWx
We also may be relaxing heading past the first few days of December as the central US torches. Some of that may spill in here or perhaps cause a messy mix or two, before maybe some sort of reload towards the end of the first week of Dec. I can't copy tweets from ubersocial ap, but can confirm he was going for a low bombing off the coast. Then again..."Tweets are not a forecast!!" "Look for final tracks va capes to off new england."
