I'm not trying to be a dink, but I don't get the fun in a snowmaking machine. It just doesn't seem the same.

Yeah I get that its good for the ski slopes...but spraying out super cooled water droplets doesn't do it for me. I need the real stuff. But everyone is different. Midlo used to make snow at his house so efficiently, he'd get several feet in one night.

Todd Gross used to as well. He used to talk about it on air.

The most ive put down in one night was just under 4 feet. Pump was set to about 80% of capacity. I could have a 12' pile in a few very cold days but why haha

Weenies who don't understand climo should read more and post less in the storm-related or pattern threads.

On a side note...cloud cover is helping keep the temps from falling or even ticking up.

This! I enjoy everyones input but not when its constantly complaining. Im not saying they should know their areas past weather stats like the back of their hand like you and I do, but in a nutshell...the midwest/Great Lakes/northeast have overall (small screwzones notwithstanding) seen WAY more snow than they climatologically should have the last 5 years or so. Because we have ONE dud winter now some people have this fear that winter doesnt exist anymore (even though weve all seen flakes, plenty of freezes, and, oh yeah, its still NOVEMBER!). Thats completely irrational. And unfair to mother nature!

maybe some weenie flakes when I get to Albany today! santa.gif

WE DO THINK THE LAKE BANDS IN IT DIFFUSE NATURE COULD SNEAK DOWN

THE MOHAWK RIVER VALLEY. THE LOW LEVEL ARE RELATIVELY

SATURATED...SOME A CHANCE OF SNOW SHOWERS WAS INCLUDED IN THE

CAPITAL REGION WITH THE NEW FORECAST. EXPECT MAYBE A COATING TO A

COUPLE TENTHS OF AN INCH IN AND AROUND THE CAPITAL REGION

lmaosmiley.gif When is the first half of December ever any good outside of NNE? Maybe a lucky year like 03, but it's rare

Dec 5th is a nice date, besides Timmy said we are more likely to see all snow than a mix here on the coast in December. lol

You always want to take advantage of nice patterns.

Very warm this morning

40

mostly cloudy, stale air around looks like Upton favors light rain.

nice gradient today--31.5 up on the north end of town...agree on tomorrow-daytime event with marginal cold air-nothing sticks even if snow and it's light enough, maybe just some light rain....oh well.

Never fear, KFALLS going with 1-4 south of the pike, but I see he just back peddled once again adding elevation helps.

Nickel and dime season is here...

0.75" at home at 5am when I left (just enough to cover the grass blades that started poking through yesterday afternoon).

In the 1-2" range now at the ski resort and snowing pretty good all the sudden.

Burlington looks to be getting a nice burst now, too.

Fast flow boredom but the daily 30% chance of snow showers this time of year never fails.
