Hey good morning everyone. Cooked all day and was in bed at 8 lol so here I am at 4am looking at weather. HPCs overnight long range and prelim progs are interesting. They chuck the EC and GFS almost totally and take the UK to some extent. I do notice that there maps (in comparison to the prior) have the low a little closer inside the benchmark, and a little lower pressure at 1004 vs. 1008. So maybe a typical early season light to moderate snow for some, mixed bag for others?

I wonder how much we'll all torch today. I had a "moral victory" yesterday in topping out at 49.9. Too bad I'll have something that begins with a 5 today.

Hoping that I might see a flake or two as the front passes through. But, 1) there won't be much of anything to see and 2) I'll probalby sleep if anything were to occur.

Off to the beaver pond.

Did they change the graphics on that? I.don't recall you posting an image like that before

Yeah they did... BTV's got an awesome site and always has sweet graphics, but this WRF model is really nice now. You can get like data down to the neighborhood, lol.

The local topography peice is great to go with the QPF and progs. That looks near perfect too in terms of historical placement of QPF...with like 1-4" down in the center of the village, ranging to 6-8"+ on the mountain. You can see the gradient in town on that map.

It captures the localized nature of it well, with BTV seeing partly sunny skies while over 1/2" QPF falls 15-20 miles away.

Beautiful mornings the last week plus. Frost is cool

(I was going to post something about a New York football team but that would not be nice)

LOL, they are just horrible, the ownership has ruined this team and to think three years ago they had a fantastic nucleus. There is just a TOTAL lack of talent put on the field by the Jets. Frost is cool! This mornings had layers and ridges almost like it kept thawing then freezing again over night?
