It's funny because their respective ensemble models are in the camp of their op counterparts.

I have "Mostly cloudy with wintry mix/rain" for both Tuesday P.M. and Wednesday. Can't say a whole lot more than that.

The s/w timing is a nightmare to figure out. That's a good call this far out.

Kevin will not be happy though.

Looking at the RH fields on the ECM (24 hr increments on Ewall) it looks like it wouldn't even be cloudy on Wednesday that thing is so far south.

Wonder if most of New England except the immediate south coast ends up with a sunny day out of all this, lol.

No kidding. It's funny though because the GFS is just so far northwest. They're not even sort of close.

It's dry there. So GFS is mix to rain, Euro has you smoking cirrus.

Smoking cirrus? He'll be getting clouds from the follow up short wave first thing Wednesday morning, lol

Maybe some high, thin clouds over New England? Bone dry below 700mb over all of New England though as that low goes so far south.

Sorry, I meant the ensembles. The euro op would have him getting rotting LES cumulus.

lol... yeah it is just quite the spread right now.... unfortunately as Tip would say though, we are set up for a cosmic dildo as none of the solutions really show snow. Its like partly sunny or a rainy sou'easter.

The UKmet is probably a good snowstorm for the elevated interior... Greens/Whites etc.

It's all about s/w timing and confluence. The euro op had a s/w at hr 132 over Caribou, while the GFS has nothing there and therefore allows the low to shoot into NNE. The euro ensembles do have what looks to be some confluence north of Maine.
