Already did that...5 miles..38 at my house when I left at 5:00..but at 650 feet there was thick hoarfrost all over everything

Should be mild tomorrow, and temps fall Saturday. BOX has low 40s here Sunday, but I'll take the under here. Maybe 40 or 41 if we are lucky.

Yeah should be in the 30's here Saturday afternoon as I tear down the Xmas tree. And then Sunday I bet we don't much above 32 here. Today was prob the last day I can run in shorts until Morch

So in any case, still looks like the vortex at 70mb splits. A good thing. Winds at that level also will decrease and becoming less westerly, also a good thing. What it means down the road...can't say for sure, but it's good to have on our side. It's a plus if you want a -NAO well down the road.

Lots of low 20s this morning in valleys, bottomed out at 27 here.

Yeah---compared to the reading below for Shelburne, I bottomed out at a balmy 29.

If anyone knows how to make a wunderground sticker from their home station, please PM me. All I can get is the one below.

Car tops wet...grass wet..mulch frozen..Makes sense I guess since snow always sticks to mulch first

Well mulch is darker so I'm a little surprised it doesn't occur elsewhere. When stuff freezes it does give off latent heat. Perhaps all the grass blades close to each other cause the temp to hover just above freezing? Usually grass blades are first to freeze.
