Looks like Milwaukee airport tied the longest streak of no measurable snow.. Thought they might fall short with the snow this early AM but no dice.

Def very minor measurable snow just west of them and at my place.. That 3 extra miles inland I have on the airport helps sometimes.

Is that by you or MKE? Because that is definitely measurable snow, light as it may be.

Long range is starting to look a bit better, at least the models have hung onto it.... If we could have a Dec 20ish start to winter... I would be content.

It would not surprise me...in fact I kinda expect....at some point in the coming days, we will have a day of longrange disaster (torchy, gradient resting north of us) that leads to meltdowns, and also a day where the longrange just wants to send down the arctic. Moral of story....take models with a grain of salt, but the pattern looks to be better. The pattern change has already occurred, but we havent seen sensible weather (well, at least snow) benefit us yet...but down the road looks good. And what I wouldnt give to lock in DT's thoughts on Dec 18th storm right now.

Yeah a total flip flop, he almost never gets things right either.

If's he's almost never been right the last 20 yrs we should all be able to have a successful career as a private meteorologist, living where ever we desire while never having to leave the comfy confines of our log cabin to work like John Dee.

A few weenie flakes here tonight. Sky has that snow look. Feels like winter too. Take what you can get...

No snow here since Nov 25th (we had flakes 2 days in Oct, 6 days in Nov, and none so far in Dec)....but I said the SAME thing earlier to my friend when we were out and about...classic winter snow sky, if only it would snow!

Flurries that were predicted here today never materialized. Last flakes fell back on Nov 11, or a month ago. Feel pretty privileged to have been one of the few around this area to have already received a measurable snow. QC is 10 days away from breaking the longest streak without a measurable snow, just like Chicago.
