snowstormcanuck
I am still dumb founded that Toronto only had 17 inches of snowfall last winter. To me that's incredible Try living it. Every day last winter was a haze of crippling despair for me. And 18.2" in 2009-10. Let's go for it again in 2012-13! I'm curious as to what the severity of my meltdown would be. snowstormcanuck
I guess the bright side is half of the winters finished with 50"+ at least. Better than nothing. I guess I could see it that way after my 8th whiskey sour.

I just dont see how you will have another sub-20" winter. Even Detroit hasnt had one since 1968-69!

But that winter we had 3 legit major snowstorm threats that all evaporated within 36 hours: around the 12th of December (forget the exact date), GHD, and the February 20th storm (my loss was your gain). You are thinking of Dec 12, 2010. Got 6.3" here. Always a bit intriguing that Toronto is losing snowfall while other areas west of you at similar latitudes are gaining. Whats the average there now? Again...no way you see another teens winter.

Hoosier
7 years ago today..."the wall" One of the memorable things is how fast it ramped up. There was a very brief period of light snow and then bam. Things went downhill in a hurry. Most of the damage was done in about 6 hours. BowMeHunter
My internal 6z gfs alarm woke me up @ 3:33.. Nice light mood snow since with some near quarter size flakes mixed in at times. would have been first measurable if it wasn't so warm. The weber grill and vehicles are trying their. best to accumulate but just turn to slush when it lightens up. What a mood up lifter

BowMeHunter
Few cups of Java and 3 hrs of watching the snow fall with the motion light on is a great way to start the weekend and has me in mood to go Christmas shopping and pick the tree out with the wife. Amazing what the first accumulating snowfall can do for one.

Chicago WX
Nice to see Blizzard Warnings, WSWarnings on the map for the northern Plains and upper Midwest. BowMeHunter
Sounds awesome, even if it's a minor snowfall. Enjoy man. Snow no matter how little is the best high on life drug out there. Now its time to work on getting us all a White Christmas. Hope that little warmth that's trying to nuzzle in out in fantasy land goes away though.. Is what it is I guess and pattern changes for the better sometimes have a tendency to get pushed back some for us on the edge. I think you'll have along with most on here a very enjoyable Jan/Feb and more-so the eastern lakes and Parts of the OV when I think the inevitable colder pattern sets in with favorable blocking for those to the south and east.
