After finishing the garage I go with my mother to the store to pick up stuff for a family dinner later that day. Eyes pealed (now with slate gray overcast...snow sky) and I have butterflies in my stomach. I'm waiting for flakes. We get home, I turn on the TV for the Giants game in Washington to play the Redskins. I see heavy snow on the screen and my brain screams...it's coming!!!

Finally around 3 PM light snow begins. It stays quite light and 9PM nothing more. I'm starting to worry. However around 9:30 I notice that snow is increasing and by 11 another 2 inches have fallen. I fall asleep. I awaken at 5:30 AM to a howling 9 degree blizzard with 18 inches in the bank already!!!!!! 12/11-12, 1960 was among the great blizzards of my life. A few days later the pattern lifted out but came back in a vengeance for January with the JFK inauguration KU and the end of pattern huge dump 2/4/61. A winter I'd relive in a heartbeat. But don't forget the torch 12/4/60. And never forget to keep hope alive!

Oh so true in the bolded. Nohting like the anticipation/frustration of the storm that begins slowly and blossoms to exceed expectations.

Book the week of December 3rd for massive things as I'll be in beautiful Cedar Rapids for most of the week. Would be great to have the clipper to give me something before my departure.

What's the matter with Chris?

Anyways, still looks like a decent -NAO, but it very well may be gradient like with storms close to our fannies with PAC flow into the US. Hopefully the -NAO is strong enough, that flow is something I'm not a fan of.

He said something happened and he has left the board in a message on FB this morning

Wow, well hope he's fine.

Last I saw last night he was posting about his homemade snowmaking machine . My guess is some board stalker showed up at his houise and trashed the thing or one of the mods told him to not post a link to the house and he got upset.

I think you'll have to admit that the KFS has nailed the 25th as our start of winter. You don't like telling me I've done well, but this time you just might have to

Hopefully the former because the latter sounds like something a 5yr old would do.

Winter doesn't rush in full force when a cold front is followed by a possible rainstorm 3 days later. The cold front was always posed to come, that has not changed. I'd wait until we pass the potential non-crystalline event a few days later. If somehow that storm is more snow for you, you'll get my props. I've given you credit when it was due before. The ironic thing is that you'll only give credit to a met when it fits your extreme agenda...such as when I mentioned August wouldn't be brutally hot..but likely humid. It satisfied your dewpoint fetish.

I'm always the first person to hand out kudos when others do well. That you are very, very wrong on

Everything is fine, I had some people over last night and we were drinking and I might have overreacted to something a bit lol. Anyway, I'd appreciate it if that's the last post about the subject. I won't be on nearly as much for a while though still, I'll be gone the next few days and then it's time to get ready for finals and all that.

We're leaving for Stowe in about a half hour. Just going up there to visit BTV and Stowe because I might move up there next fall so I want to make sure it is feasible first. Can't ski still due to the foot, but I'll probably at least hang around the base area and try to catch a beer with Scott and possibly J Spin if he is around. I'm not looking forward to the car ride, but I'm excited to spend a few days up in NNE. Haven't been up there since last winter, and I caught a warm rainy stretch (go figure).

What is showing a snow event for SNE? I'll give it a chance to trend south with a -NAO trying to develop and the interior may start as a mix regardless..but I don't hold much hope out for a true snow event at this moment.
