MGorse
Not sure how many of you visit my offices event archive page, however we are adding new events to it. We recently added a page for the September EF0 tornadoes and the November Nor'easter. All the available events are at this link... http://www.erh.noaa.gov/phi/archives.html A few new highlights: November 7-8, 2012 Nor'easter: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/phi/storms/11082012.html September 3-4, 2012 EF0 Tornadoes: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/phi/WeakTornadoes_Sept3-4.html

ago4snow
I was wondering whether the NWS or any other government agency issues maps or reports concerning the highest flood levels reached during Sandy in New Jersey. I have seen several anecdotal reports comparing the 1962 storm levels to Sandy, but I would rather rely on something more objective from the NWS. Also, thanks for the link you provided, plenty of interesting info.

This is what we have so far for Sandy Hook, NJ: ...RECORD SETTING STORM TIDE AT THE SANDY HOOK, NJ NOS TIDE SITE DURING COASTAL STORM SANDY... PRELIMINARY DATA PRIOR TO POWER BEING LOST, THE SANDY HOOK TIDE GAUGE RECORDED A LEVEL OF 13.3 FEET MEAN LOWER LOW WATER /MLLW/, WHICH IS AT LEAST 3.2 FEET HIGHER THAN THE PREVIOUS RECORD OF 10.1 FEET SET DURING HURRICANE DONNA ON SEPTEMBER 12, 1960.
