snowfan
Was curious about DCA........only 6 winters with above normal snowfall in the last 30 years. The last time DCA had normal or above normal snowfall in consecutive seasons was 1986-1987 (31.1") and 1987-1988 (25.0").
brad1551
BWI: 20" they will be in the mix of a nor'easter DCA:12" urban heat IAD: 16" colder in the burbs Overall this winter will feel snowy due to last years lack-luster snow drought. This winter will be a back loader do to the Eurasia snow cover being weak early and strong late. That's just how I feel and some other things. Not a dynamite winter but a somewhat good winter in my eyes. Anything is better then last years winter right?

TUweathermanDD
34.6 and if that isn't right, 18.7 and if that isn't, 87.5 (hot plate --> 18.7 though IAD could have 87.5) so...18.

mattie g
13.2" on the DCA hot plate. I can see there being more than a couple events this year in which DCA does quite poorly compared to the surrounding area. An overrunning or CAD event or two could bring some decent totals to the suburbs, while DCA has precip type or ratio issues, reducing their totals by many inches overall.
