Boch23
A little out of the area/country/continent BUT.......IF there was no sound to this video I would think this was here in the united states.....Not sure but I think tornados this big in italy are quite rare. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a-wkjemVZJ4
Boch23
just incase you are not following weather in the rest of the country Should also note the 70-80 mph sustained winds with gust up to 115. Either without that, that forecast is just insanse. 15 feet of snow with winds up to 115 mph.....doesn't get much more extreme than that.....does it? eastonwx
Mount Washington can't hold a candle to the western peaks. Ha, true! When I was in Tahoe about 20 years ago in a pizza joint, the people in there were telling us about snow that practically covered storefront windows. Ray, I bet you're secretly wishing that some of that Mt. Shasta snow would come about 500 miles east!

Mt shasta's occurrence of getting 150-200 inches from one storm is about the same occurence of elko getting over 6 inches of snow from one storm. eastonwx
About once a year, maybe a bit less. Sorry, I thought it would occur less often. So Mt. Shasta sees a 150"-200" snowfall about once a year? I assume that is a prolonged event.

tombo82685
0z GFS gives hope mid month. also, you dont have to get a solid snowstorm to...you can get clippers or a swfe that drops an inch or two before it switches over to rain...remember phl only avg like 3 inches for dec.
