Come to think of it Hurricane either ? If I remember correctly a few days ago (week?) Mitchell (Gaines) said somewhere on the board he'd be on vacation.Like many others here I hope they both will continue to be regular posters. I feel their insight is too valuable to loose.. Thunder Road
I'm officially writing off the 12/30 storm. It's the GFS against the world, and we all know how well that works out. This winter sucks. At least last winter we knew there was nothing coming, but I hate this constant teasing from storms in the medium range that turn to sh*t at 96 hours out. greg ralls
How will you guys look back on 2012 weather-wise and also personally? I give it a completely average rating. The weather sucked, but my wife & I bought a house in Collegeville back in January, so I would've rated it as a mostly good year overall for me. Unfortunately, my best friend killed himself 10 days ago, so a year that I might have rated as a 7 or 8 will forever be soured in my memory by his death. I found this year personally and professionally depressing, but nothing really *bad* happened, just a bunch of good things I was hoping for that didn't happen. Good riddance to 2012. Weather-wise it was exciting and memorable for NJ, obviously, thanks mainly to Sandy. Other than that, not a whole lot to remember, aside from the early November snowstorm. Not to mention it seemed like every damn thunderstorm hit NJ (ocean county in particular ) pretty hard. (As well as the derecho)

Parsley
Weather-wise, winter sucked. (Atleast my Giants won the Superbowl). Spring was ok. Beautiful weather for my daughter's birthday in April (near 80 and sunny). Summer was fine. Not too hot overall, limited big storms for me though. 2nd daughter was born in July so weather wasn't a priority. Sandy was memorable but devastating, especially for family and friends on the south shore of Long Island. Fall was comfy with nice fall foliage. Early snowfall in late November was awesome. December sucked until last week. Hope it continues improving in terms of winter weather. Overall: weather gets 8/10 (winter was a failing grade, the other seasons were very good overall) My life: 9.5/10 (birth of daughter + Superbowl win)
