tombo82685
^ I'd argue that last year was a no one based Yes i know, but still it was north and west based. The oct storm phl on south and eeast had a half inch or less...while north and west had 4-16 inches. Granted this year, parts of new jersey have more snow than the pocs... famartin
If we can ship Ray back to Elko we may have a shot... I leave the 27th, not soon enough to save the 26th-27th event but soon enough to possibly save the next one.

famartin
Hope you're enjoying your time with your family, and I hope you have a great Christmas, Ray. Thanks. On the flip side of this "effect", I've already warned people back in Elko that the current snowy weather will end as soon as I return, so enjoy it now! I think my Davis anemometer back in Elko got frozen... http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KNVELKO7

jwilson
So I'm not quite buying the next storm yet (New Year's)...we finally get a decent pacific, but the NAO and AO are moving the wrong way. Granted that could change by New Year's as we still have a week+, but is the cold progged for before or after the 1st? If after, we'll continue the warm/wet, dry/cold scenario, I fear--the NAO tanks again right after the storm moves through. El oh el. Also the MJO still blows.
