Happy winter solstice everyone! What a night. The wind wrecked havoc on the decorations outside. Lost not only the flag but the pole went too, couldn't find it in the dark. Left for the office early this morning, had to find hot coffee as we've been without power since about 2:30am.

No station in Belmar by lake cuomo next to water.

I don't have a station at my water front house....hmmm....now I know what I want for Christmas. Need to tell the boss. Lol

Davis VP2 is the best, insist on the best! Don't forget to make sure you receive an anemometer support too! ;)

That is my cabin station.

The only negative for me is they require a workstation to run web interface for wx underground. One would think this would have been built into the master control by now. Even he web cams have built in wifi and cloud access.

I have a warehouse full of workstations....that's not the issue....it's about ease and support.

I started out using Davis WeatherLinkIP for that. Decided I wanted something better so just got Ambient Weather's WeatherPlug, which uses Meteohub. No computers involved, no maintenance. Just plug in, set and leave it alone. I still have the Davis WeatherLinkIP as a backup, but I find myself using it less and less. Its still helpful if Wunderground fouls up and their graphs end up with missing pieces; otherwise, I probably will stop looking at WeatherLinkIP's output entirely.

Had near 50MPH gusts overnight, my gate slammed against the fence hard enough to wake me up and the damn thing is warped and scrapes the driveway which makes it hard to open so those gusts were pretty good.

yeah.....our trash cans flew all over the yard and def some debris on the ground too

52 mph gust at Philly International and a pressure reading of 989.3 mb. It's also kinda weird to see 57 F at 5 am in December...

Wilmington did even better...
