goombatommy
It feels and smells like snow outside. Mid 30's clouds rolling in. Weenie. I said the same thing to myself this morning. You just inhale and could smell "snow-likeness" in the air. Now wouldn't THAT be a shocker
Lady Di
Just texted a friend who lives right at Iowa\Missouri boarder. Her obs to me was thunder and lightning last night, 47 mph winds while out feeding the cattle. Winds expected to be worse during the day today. Approx. 7" but blowing. My last recollection witnessing thunder and lightning was Feb. 1983. Loved that storm.
famartin
Hmm, I didn't smell the snow smell today. Maybe I wasn't sniffing for it. I just upgraded the Davis here with a Ambient WeatherPlug, so its reporting rapid fire to Wunderground and every five minutes to CWOP. http://www.wunderground.com/weatherstation/WXDailyHistory.asp?ID=KNJEWING4 http://raws.wrh.noaa.gov/cgi-bin/roman/meso_base.cgi?stn=D9142&time=GMT

famartin
He's not used to humidity Actually there isn't a whole lot of difference this time of year. Its summer when you guys have dewpoints in the 70s and I have dewpoints in the 20s

famartin
Wind gusted to 25 mph here so far, which is an accomplishment considering the wind is mainly coming out of the woods directly to the east. ILG gusted to 60! That's.... more than I expected from them.
