Damage In Tolland
It looks awfully tough for snow right now, but not impossible. Right now damaging icestorm inland seems more likely than snow..but trend has been colder each run so' we'll see.
CoastalWx
Right now damaging icestorm inland seems more likely than snow..but trend has been colder each run so' we'll see. It really hasn't. The only thing that seems to be trending one way, are the chances of a nor'easter. You don't get an icestorm with a low near the benchmark, it's either rain or snow. CoastalWx
Damaging icestorm seems more wishful thinking? Pretty sure no such thing has happened ever with a low so far SE. It's either rain or snow. I mean maybe on the back side it could flip to a little snow before ending, but it looks like an icy cold rain for most. You would have to have the low in a sweet spot well se, intensify rapidly, and make sure you are in the deform band in order to get any frozen out of this. Good luck pinpointing that detail 7 or 8 days out.

CoastalWx
Euro Ens actually agree with OTS look of GFS Yeah we obviously are going to need time with figuring out what's going on, although as modeled, this storm will be massive in terms of spacial coverage. Modfan
Reminds me of Thanksgiving 1985, during our annual T-day football game it was a very cold heavy rain and on the bus ride home switched to heavy sleet/snow.
