Had 90" here with three storms over 18"...impressive winter for NYC 'burbs. Record-setter here for sure.

I was there...Bergen County ....what a winter! Donna in September, JFK elected, and that glorious winter. The only blemish in the fall was Mazeroski's HR to win the WS. I cried all the way home.

'60-'61 was near average in Pittsfield with only 80" according to the COOP data. However, 11.3" fell in April with even 0.1" recorded in May.

'70-'71 was a huge winter that I'd kill to see play out again. The Stockbridge COOP (PSF data doesn't go through this year) data, which is 300' lower than me and 8 miles south had 125"...

if December's rockin' don't come a knockin'.

Looking good. Late November to early December we get a real winter push followed by pattern relaxation and weenie angst. But around or shortly after the solstice, some magic will appear and we should have a 50-75 day run of extreme cold and prolific snow. That's my forecast for RI/MA/CT.

Speaking of weenie angst, the 00z GFS is...toronto blizzard's end.

00z GFS OTS with the noreaster early next week. It will stay a fish storm unless the GFS is somehow too progressive with the southern stream in the medium range. Our pretty little infallible GFS would never do such a thing though.

Plus everything before and after is pretty damn ugly, although the ensembles have been a bit more promising.

I actually don't want anymore trouble. However tonights run is more progressive than every SREF and the Nogaps. If ther is too much ridging across the OV and SE there won't be much room for a storm along the coast day 5 and it won't matter anyway.
