CoastalWx
Wow, Euro ensembles are cold for the end of November. Definitely their coldest run yet. Much more signal for a -NAO Yeah look how that low later next week forces the -NAO. Pretty strong ridge out west too as the trough in AK slightly retros. NorthShoreWx
Time sensitive...check this out. Mr Torchey
Great news! Lets get some snow in here for Thanksgiving the rest is gravy.....cold grey evening upon us a perfect night to decorate the house, and can't believe we will be cutting down our tree a week from Saturday. powderfreak
Yeah look how that low later next week forces the -NAO. Pretty strong ridge out west too as the trough in AK slightly retros. The weenie in me is saying the pattern could be ripe for a big upslope event at some point... one of these lows is going to cut-off and get trapped up near the Maritimes, Gulf of Maine or over Maine. Great blocking and get one of those retro low events as it is forced to back in over New England with days of moist cyclonic flow on NW winds. 12z GFS in fantasy land is showing that sort of potential down the road. HM
Yeah look how that low later next week forces the -NAO. Pretty strong ridge out west too as the trough in AK slightly retros. That and anything afterwards that reinforces the anomaly is exactly the kind of wave breaking needed for a -NAO to develop. This development combined with the Aleutian High will force the pattern in between to amplify. Great model runs today.

Hate to say it as I can't stand rain this time of year, but I agree. Of course if we can edge colder and pick up some frozen precip next week as Kev seems to think will happen it will be a bonus. friedmators
We have had pumpkins gnawed at before, but I don't recall ours being burrowed into and eviscerated like this year. I think (at least in my area) the acorn drop was waaaayy below recent years, so maybe they are hungry? I know others posted they had lots of acorns. 39F at home... not sure about here at work We have ZERO acorns in Central Jersey...well Edison at least

Haha yeah... between the very cold week from the 3rd to the 10th, along with 14" of snow on the upper half of the mountain so far this month, its been a solid November so far. ORH_wxman
The Euro ensembles look way better than they did at this time last year. It was actually around this time last year when they started looking a lot worse...this year it is the opposite, they have looked better and better the last two or three days. Today's run being the best yet.

Wow where does one find a job like that. Most people do not get that much vacation for the entire year. Edit: I see you are having a baby that is why, congrats i hope it all goes well. Yes, that will be something to look forward to while you're changing diapers at 3:00am, or warming up bottles at 1:00am. It will take the pain of not being able to have sex for weeks to come after the baby is born.
