Cold Miser
36mm? Perhaps the snowfall on the pics will improve with age? He doesn't use digital, or 35mm, but a special film that never really took off back in the 80's. Kind of like Betamax video tapes. Makes it hard to find somewhere to process it. I understand the quality to be incredible.
Cold Miser
dude the slit is there too along with a set a cayonnes, we got shafted for sure,Colchester got 6 inches of snow! Yeah. Seeing that is depressing. I will be driving home in about 2 hours - taking Tappanzee to 84 - to 691 - to 91 - to 44 through UCONN to pick up daughter, then rte 6 to Brooklyn. The snow variations should be ineresting along this route.
ORH_wxman
Pete has snow Probably some patches underneath protected fir trees. Def not in an open area around there though since the modis shot shows it gone there. But in the woods with a lot of evergreens it won't see it well. CoastalWx
If you look close, I think the 2k site is actually bare from all the long hair catching the snow. Very localized min.

Sugarloaf1989
About 50% of the snow has melted today though I still have a 1' deep drift on my roof and the neighbor's snowman has survived so far. It's sunny and 48F here right now.
ORH_wxman
Today is still slightly below average for temps. That's why its almost impossible to maintain any snow pack received before 11/20 to 11/25 around these parts to serve as a base for later snowfall in December. (except for GC which still has snow pack from last winter)
