Thanks man. Someone should definitely do a post-analysis and figure out what kind of instability and banding we were dealing with. I know the main band was mainly "700mb frontogenesis" and we had good -EPV. Most likely, we had CSI banding in the TROWAL but with the upper low nearby, it is possible other forms of instability canceled out the CSI, especially down in my area.

It was regenerating quite a bit and the band near NYC got a boost from that dryslot destabilizing things I think. I noted some CSI in the bands to the east of the main band approaching Jersey shore in the morning. Look at the OKX sounding and that unstable layer at 00z.

Just the magic of SNEs Mt. Mansfield do not fear it.

lol I believe Blizz...that band just went to town. It's also hard with a lot of drifting.

But I'm not sure we should call out folks who have low measurements as doing something wrong, lol. The last thing we want is everyone going higher and higher for fear of being told they are measuring under a deck.

Did you have a pipe for the cirrus smoking party? LOL. I got dryslotted to death but I am not hanging myself. I thoroughly enjoyed this storm. High winds blinding periods of snow, huge waves, friends with jackpots and no shoveling.

I was under heavier echoes than him 90% of the day, but his 500' more of elevation could have easily had higher ratios

Still wondering about those dry air comments last nite. Just a great storm. Nice to get November back to wintry month. Now if we can just get Morch back

Not much to wonder about, dry air flooded in on a N wind and kept most of W. MA in 8-10 hours of heavy, heavy virga.

N of I-90 and W of the Quabbin, including high elevations saw little if any snow.
