weathafella
Some of those bands did drift west enough into the eastern suburbs of PHL to produce up to 1"/hr rates for a time in the evening. Models weren't that off the day before with where the big band would be in this area...about 30-50 miles too far west. How did my cousins do in Princeton? I thought they were off a good bit when comparing the 00z run to the 12z run, yesterday. Models had areas getting good banding west of Philly and it ended up in NJ and into srn CT. I'd say at least a good 50 miles or so, but you can never tell exactly in storms with their fickle nature. In the long run 50 or more so miles isn't bad 3 days out, but that was a big 12hr shift so close to the event. It even gave me snow.

NorEastermass128
3.5" here....too bad we couldn't have gotten into that band out over ORH. Would have doubled the total. Still, not a bad start to the early snow season. Just 14.5" more and we tie last season!

40/70 Benchmark
All I can keep saying is that the law of averages has to reward me soon....it just has to. Its just been screw-hole, after screw-hole, after screw-hole....I don't give a flying one how many scatter T plots Will can come up with to discredit my assertion. Unreal. I stopped paying attention at about 4pm because the writing was on the wall....as it was for the halloween event last year. Of course, I was warned of the "backside deformation banding" that would traverse the rainbow and make it over to my side.. ..blah blah blah

Yeah they picked up that area near and se of PHL, but of course in NYC where I cared about, it brought the crazy banding overhead. What an insane band. dendrite
I hate to say it but CT Blizz owned the board on this storm... He is a beacon of hope and truth in this world, and I hereby give an oath of fealty to him from this day forward... Or at least until the next storm bust. Blizz finally completed a hail mary. One more before New Year's and his rating may eclipse Tebow.

HM
HM classic GWs, awesome call by you three weeks ago. Thanks man. Someone should definitely do a post-analysis and figure out what kind of instability and banding we were dealing with. I know the main band was mainly "700mb frontogenesis" and we had good -EPV. Most likely, we had CSI banding in the TROWAL but with the upper low nearby, it is possible other forms of instability canceled out the CSI, especially down in my area. #NoPoles
i ended up with a grand totsl of 2inches...now it's pouring... my sister in Manomet section of Plymouth was telling me about the high winds and coastal flooding...she went out this morning to drop the kids off at school and the dog off at the groomer and on her way home a huge tree had fallen across 3A blocking both travel lanes...she had to backtrack...i'm just glad it didn't fall on her car!
