Such an odd event to forecast. Good early season case study. Looked like we had a good antecedent airmass with the low dews that helped a lot.

Yeah it was. A shift east and then intense banding. The banding was modeled, but it wasn't modeled to give us the snow many got here. I saved a bunch of images. Congrats to those that got it.

2.0" here on the fringe

3.1" here on the midcoast. Drive to work was fun though. Counted 12 vehicles in ditches at various places on I-295 and I-95. Two accidents happened in front of me. Flying sdown passing lane and they lost it. 47 mile one way drive to work took 1.5 hours. Folks act like it's first snow they ever drove in.

Looks like 0.7" total, but it is raining now.

4-6" just inland to my southwest. Even Jerry got 4" or so it seems, and I can throw a rock to his house.

The difference was the fact that Brookline was all snow from maybe 3pm on while your side of the cf had to wait till 7-8 or so. By 7, I had 2 inches, by 10:30, 3-4.

But the amazing thing was the fact that plows were out and all major streets were snow covered...on 11/7!

Awesome Jerry signs on an over performer winter, remember our NCT Nov 2010 snow on 11/8.

Wow at the office , just a trace or so here in SECT, winds are ripping again gusting to 37. Had a gust on the Davis here to 46 which is very impressive inland. Drove through a great sleet squall last gasp it seems.

Now that the election weenie season is over and the wx pattern is quieting, and the fact that we have a long weekend coming, I may be able to cobble together a credible winter forecast. I'm bullish.

Yeah very localized, but I never expect snow November 7th. A coating is a bonus, so not bad..just good to see snow.

Just incredible, about half of what stuck on the grass and decks, cars etc stuck to the roads but still not a single plow or sander. Snow is super heavy and melting from the ground up..........not going to bother shoveling the driveway this stuff will be gone by 3 pm. Tons of pics saved and memories to pass along.

Winter wonderland!..........now back to the beach.
