ORH_wxman
The RAP/RUC nailed this deformation band on its 21z run. I told Kevin earlier that we both would get another 3-5" tonight if it verified. Easily coming true.

ChrisM
dare I say there may be more regeneration going on behind this band again? I'm just confused as to why it's like --sn and there are 30+ overhead
CT Rain
Will... was there any sleet in there? Looks like on dual pol it got to about Worcester and then went all snow prior to the airport.
ChrisM
lol I really don't understand lol. Before it was showing like 10 dbz and I couldn't see the building 500' away, now it's showing 30+DBZ and I can count the flakes falling. weird stuff today... free_man
31.5 , .5" That death band is creeping in slowly, hopefully it has a bit more push.

Haven't seen any...but I will go outside and check to see if the consistency has changed with marginal fine ice pellets mixed in. Out the window it looks like awesome dendrites. I'm also on the very far NNW side of ORH...so its possible south or southeast side could have a bit of contamination where I didn't.

Haven't gone outside to see, but if it's sleet where you are it's definitely sleet here. Don't hear it pinging against the windows though lol EDIT: Just poked my head out...sounds like you can hear some sleet but I looked in the floodlight and it just looke dlike healthy snowflakes

ORH_wxman
All snow here. Just checked the coat sleeve for any evidence of ice and none. But it looks like on dual pol its getting closer. It washed out over us before and now seems to be in SE ORH county.

ChrisM
Yeah on your doorstep there. in BOX's warning they called for accumulating snow throughout the night, it'd be a shame if sleet mixed in because this line continues to build back eastward. It's been a good one though, especially for early November. I'm crashing hard now, see you guys

N. OF PIKE
any shot that the heavy precip the 0z rap, has can dynamically cool the area in NE mass later around 9z and get snow

ORH_wxman
We've exhausted our cold source it seems now that the storm is wrapping moisture into Maine. We have ticked up to 29.4F here after a low of 26.4F earlier this evening.

On the crappy radar products I use I can't find it, but I just checked outside and it's still all snow. At least gives us another hour or two of snow before the change. Arnold214
I am pretty fascinated by the radar loop and IR imagery of the center of the storm south of ACK there. Convection keeps regenerating around the center...with occasional lightning strikes.
