Sundog
Go measure and report. You have to be 4"-5". See my previous post. Grass has a hair over 6 inches. Took measurements all over the place to make sure it wasn't BS. Streets have a bit more than 4 inches.
Analog96
2.8" as of a half hour ago.
JERSEYSNOWROB
Let me get this right....The same regions that got the worst hit from Hurricane Sandy are getting a snowstorm of 4-8 inches with 40-50 mph winds. Jeez.... I can't believe it myself. This snow is really bending the trees here now too so I expect more power outages soon. I cranked up the heat just in case! ha ha ha

NorthShoreWx
Snow (or at worst, freezing drizzle...but probbaly snow) should re-develop over the course of the next couple hours...especially for eastern sections. I sure hope so. I saw nothing but light snow here. Lucky if we reached an inch. Quite a run of sitting to the east of ginourmous def bads the past few years. Temps weren't a problem; it snowed all day but only lightly. Right at the freezing mark now and has been around that for many hours. Another cool storm to watch, but once again the bridesmaid instead of the bride.
Jersey Shore snow
4 inches in Neptune right on the coast in Monmouth County. Still without power from Sandy (9 days) and the places in town that got power back are now losing it because of downed trees.
JERSEYSNOWROB
This is what makes the wonderful world of weather so wonderful. Everyone can be virtually clueless until game time. This will probably go down as one of the biggest surprise snows in many a year. Not often in these days of high-tech modelling that you get caught off-guard. Exactly. I mean we had a shot, but in reality, this time of year, I never would have thought it would actually happen. ha ha ha

NorthShoreWx
Just took this a few minutes ago. About 5" on the grass! Edit: A portrait photo shows up as sideways...lol Is that 5" of snow plastered to the side of a stop sign?

I sent a 1.5" measurement to Upton at 8:20 PM...as I mentioned in a previous post the 3:00 PM - 4:30 PM part of the storm was very exciting...heavy snow and very strong winds...too bad it didn't start accumulating 'till after 4. Snow_Miser
This band in C NJ is pretty sweet. Looks like a general 3-5 inches in my location right now. Moderate to heavy snow continues.
Dsnowx53
Is that 5" of snow plastered to the side of a stop sign? I'm not sure why a portait photo showed up sideways. I usually take landscape photos which have all worked.
