About 0.8" on the ground in Port Jeff as of 5:45 PM. May sound run of the mill, but between about 3:30 PM and 4:15 PM...although it wasn't sticking much...the combination of wind and snow was exceptional...sort of like a white tropical storm. Snow began to stick out here I guess a little after 4 PM.

Some of these heavy bands coming off the Sound sort of make sense...with Sound surface temps around 11 C and 850 mb temps around -2 C...more than a 12 C delta and the air becomes conditionally unstable...quasi-lake effect like.

Wow, just a monster deform band sitting over Central and Eastern NJ and NYC right now. Unbelievable.

Been underneath it in Colts Neck for last hour , just need that nice band sitting 200 miles to my east to come all the way to the coast.
