Yeah this is why it's generally not good to be in the bullseye days 2-4 with winter events. However, for most big snows that I recall, the general trend was more NW with the track as the event approached. Not this one though. My home town in Monmouth will probably end up with half a foot of snow.

Ehh, the bullseye was 12 hrs away from the event...0z models were pretty adamant about i95 being target area. Even the morning hpc snow progs bullseyed 95 corridor from Philly to NYC.

Agreed, I guess we just had a good old fashioned screwing.

Gotta take turns though. Last october we had our 4-6" snow in PA, now NJ gets it closer to the coast. Hopefully it won't lead to the same winter result.

Just got home about a half hour ago and the roads got progressively worse as I entered Monmouth county from Mercer County.Roads snow covered here with no plows in sight. I measured a solid 3 inches around 6:40pm here in Morganville, Marlboro Township, NJ Monmouth County. and its still snowing i might add.

Safe to say I'm jealous of NYC & NJ right now, models showed that band over us yesterday...Anyway light-mod snow here in NE Philly, some cars have a bit of slush on them, but thats about it sad.png

Such is the life when you are on the western end of a deformation band and hoping to cash in. 30-50 miles means everything. While it looked like NJ was in the best crosshairs for everything, I sure thought the DE valley would at least get some decent snows when the 06z runs were in. That changed at 12z. Sometimes that can happen with these storms.

Sepa/ 95 is the screw zone between last year and this years event. Lol. Oo well!

I'm liking what I see for this winter. I'll take an average winter though, especially up the poconos. Trying to get my snowboard in fresh powder for the 1st time in 2 seasons...

Has anyone noticed that Plainfield, NJ always seems to get stuck under those deformation bands? I swear almost every storm it happens... On a side note Athena is teasing us in eastern PA. Finally some heavier dbzs popping up, not sure if they will last though.

EDIT: Looks like a band is setting up in eastern pa for the areas just missing out. Dry air splitting the seams, that one In NJ is really exploding.

anybody coming south from Middlesex take 130, TP & Rt 1 are an absolute disaster, I beat people going back to PA taking 130 that left over an hr before me....

approx 2" & pouring snow the whole way down 130 from 522 to 195, everything snow covered, at the ranch here in Feasterville - sloppy 1/2" on the grass, roads wet

My Dad in Hamilton told me a little over an inch about an hour and a half ago, but they have been taking a beating under that band. I would have to think they are close to 3" by now.

In Mercerville, we have a heavy, wet coating on the grass. The pavements are just wet, and looking at the accumulation on my car, it's an inch IF we're lucky

My Dad just measured about 2". Weird, you would think with the radar returns you would have more. Well with temperatures dropping the next few hours it might pile up pretty quickly.
