weatherMA
SNOW GRIDS CAME IN WITH A 2 TO 4 INCHES ABV 2000 FT...WITH LOCALLY HIGHER SPOTS IN THE MTNS. LOWER TOTALS WILL BE ACROSS WRN COOS AND GRAFTON COUNTIES AS SHADOWING WILL LIKELY OCCUR IN NE FLOW.
Typhoon Tip
i just i dunno - it's 27/13 here and similarly if not colder all the way into NYS and NNE... there is 0 way to moderate this air mass and we have a deep low going SE - good luck. ORH_wxman
When you say snow, are you thinking a snow to rain scenario or staying all snow? I've just been hesitant with marginally below freezing H85 temps... although the soundings do look quite cold around 925-950mb area. Sleet? It probably wont stay snow the entire way (I'm not sure anywhere will in this setup)...but I do think the first burst of heavier precip will be snow the way everything has trended. There is a definite possibility of some sleet though..especially as the VVs go down and we lose some of the dynamical cooling. Even ZR. The low level cold drain is pretty impressive....esp for Nov 7th.
yoda
RGEM, fwiw, through 48 shows mainly rain along SNE coast... perhaps a lil snow in NE CT/SW MA -- but its a tiny area

Arnold214
NAM bufkit has like .40-.50" fzra here at GYX with NE gusts around 40. Should be enough wind to sweep away some heat.

Bonus if I do , like the 2"in 2010 first week of Nov. best to keep expectations very low. Some flakes today at the coast in EMA,pretty neat. ORH_wxman
Most of RI is snowing on the RGEM...once that steadier precip backed in further, probably 80% of SNE would be snow on that...only SE MA and Cape Cod and maybe hugging right along the E coast wouldn't see flakes. CoastalWx
It's really unusual to think siggy ZR with a track like that, but the warner air aloft floods in as this low wraps up. One would think sleet may be a little more widespread, but it will depend on how low that warm layer can get.

CoastalWx
Continues the cold and east track of 18z. I thought maybe it would tick west but guess not. Still disorganized at hr 48.

ORH_wxman
Precip is still pretty cruddy. But being so cold, it would probably support some 1-3" type accumulations in the interior.
powderfreak
Unreal soundings for Novie, ice storm, really? NAM has a screwy look thermally but synoptically looks ok, wind gusting to 50 in sleet, nice. Yeah there's a real cold layer near the surface on all these soundings...pretty amazing. ChrisM
Looks like areas that are getting precip would stay mostly snow on this, save for the cape/islands/south coasts. Too bad only like .1-.2" QPF falls in most of those areas lol
