tombo82685
just looking over the nam, i think interior south jersey will be jackpot, they are gonna have some solid qpf. Only issue is if the mid level warming can hold off.

famartin
looks like they are having bl issus with melting with 7 mile vis Not surprising given its 37/34. But that its snowing that far southeast is a positive sign if you want snow.

Man, that dreaded precip gradient in eastern PA. Whereas Easton can easily see 5+" out of this, Allentown will 1 - 2" if that. Eesh.
tombo82685
my high res nam on vista is showing 1.75-2.5 qpf for phl and 3-5 for south jerz...

Shows their is a solid cold (relatively speaking) airmass over us.

am19psu
Don't know if I'm wooshing myself but what is "CSI" lol. conditional symmetric instability. It's when the atmosphere is unstable to slantwise ascent. It manifests itself as bands of heavier precip on radar. Usually you need some sort of post-storm analysis to tell if bands were CSI or frontogenetic forcing. Either way, it snows a lot.

Big Jims Videos
We're forecasted for 1-2 here in the Wyoming valley and it's so dry outside now I am saying we don't get a flake near scranton wilkes-barre. I'd want to be Flemington to Ewing to bucks county and down the 295 corridor for a "jackpot"

Snowtrain
i am located in swedesboro Gloucester county and I never like being in the forecasted "jackpot zone" as it's usually the kiss of death. hopefully i can get some "post worthy" pics, for the obs thread. waking up this morning it felt way too warm to support accum snow, but as every hour passes you can feel the rawness in the air increase. famartin
Not that. I literally can't tell. They look the same to me on radar. I've found that usually, repetitive bands moving perpendicular to their orientation (eg, east-west oriented bands moving north, etc) on the cold side of a warm front, are a good sign of them. I'll add that usually they are of a relatively modest scale (not massive like the leading band, which is obviously FG) and relatively discrete... i.e., like the ones currently on display east of ACY.
