CranberryWX
Cookie cutter type days this past week...cold, frosty mornings and cool, sunny days. The morning lows have been in the low 20's all week.
Disc
Really heavy frost this morning while leaving for work. Forgot to check the temperature this morning, though.
mitchnick
the heck with it, I'm having a white Christmas this year just bought one of those trees with the fake snow on it and it looks grrreat! unfortunately it doesn't come with pine cones, but the snow looks pretty darn real never again will I get screwed out of a white Christmas
Bob Chill
Nat Geo show on Sandy was pretty good. Lotsa good footage. Wasnt focused on the weather science as much as the impacts but still worth watching.

CranberryWX
Seven mornings in a row with the lows in the mid to low 20s...heavy frost each morning. The soil is very dry again after getting a good dose from Sandy. Now if I can get my last remaining Bradford Pear to drop its leaves I can be done with my yard work for the year. I got the grass cut short for the dustings of snow coming up.
EasternUSWX
Working on one of these for each major city in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. Check out the NYC one from today. I'll post my Baltimore and DC ones on here when I make them.
ravensrule
Very nice work, Bob! What jumped out to me in the 10"+ animation is the Aleutian block is there at the beginning, but then a strong Aleutian/North Pac low develops, which serves to pump up the PNA and give us that west coast ridging as the storm gets going. Congrats on the promotion, i knew i should have licked your A** .

Eskimo Joe
Congrats WxUSAF Just an observation, since I'm about to hit my first year here in MD. Even though Carroll is directly west of Baltimore, when the sun goes down this place can radiate like all get out. I have been experiencing a 5 -> 7 degree temperature drop with an hour and a half of sunset these past few months. Quite impressive.
MDstorm
Thanks! Congratulations! You look good in green. Completing the required "How to deal with Ji's Winter Posts" tutorial must have been a real bear. Hopefully, you will still have time to do the Ravens play by play. There's a ridge in Carroll county named Parr's Ridge that usually outperforms most local areas when it comes to accumulations.
