mattie g
I think we had some sleet wixed in with what seemed to be really, really wet snow (like 90/10 rain to snow ratio) in the 9:00 or so timeframe. That would make this morning the second frozen precip of the season for me after the evening sleet from the nor'easter last week.
mattie g
By the way...seems to be a lot of cold precip so far this fall. Nasty.
yoda
Pulled from the SNE thread Wow, Euro ensembles are cold for the end of November. Definitely their coldest run yet. Much more signal for a -NAO Yeah look how that low later next week forces the -NAO. Pretty strong ridge out west too as the trough in AK slightly retros. That and anything afterwards that reinforces the anomaly is exactly the kind of wave breaking needed for a -NAO to develop. This development combined with the Aleutian High will force the pattern in between to amplify. Great model runs today.
nw baltimore wx
Pulled from the SNE thread Nice. And the 396 hr panel of the gfs looks interesting. On the banter front, I got a new iPhone and I can't get the NWS radar loop to show up. It worked fine on my old iPhone. Anyone know of any settings that I should change?
