By far, the greatest Christmas tree farm trip EVER. Sure hope for a repeat this year. Nice pics. For me, it can't snow soon enough. Last significant storm was the Oct. storm for me. Ha, well I wouldn't go that far. While i'd like it to snow year around anything over 30" in a season is pretty nice. 10.8" last year was garbage and 3.5" of that came in Oct. Here are some pics I shot on Main St in Front Royal on Sat evening (~5:30) Dec 19, 2009, in 21 inches of fresh powder. Unbelievably, I didn't bring my camera that night and had to take these with my blackberry which just couldn't handle the lights. I'm still kicking myself. I remember watching it from the Easternwx forums or whatever they were called and seeing all the snow weenies going crazy over each model run. It had the Christmas feel to that storm for sure. It's been pure misery since Feb 2010. january 2011 was fun, but still rained for half of the storm. i just want a few inches of snow without a changeover. just a standard, normal snowstorm. it's literally been over 2 and a half years since that, at least where i live just north of dc. Pretty hefty (but quick) downpour here. Enough that I immediately got texts from a few friends asking what the hell it was lol. Remember that thinness or thickness is not what matters in virga.
