TSSN down in the Kankakee/Dwight/Morris area, up towards Ogle County too.

Interestingly, DPA is in the heart of that band and only down to 3/4 mile.

odd stuff, earlier in the thread i posted an obv from Steriling when they were under 30+dbz that came in cloudy.

This band is slowly beginning to impinge on some drier air, NAM also shows a region of low level dry air over northern IN which may be injecting into the low levels. Possible that does but a kabash on anything greater than a few inches even with the heavy echoes.

Just called my parents to see if they saw/heard anything. My mom said she might have heard a rumble. Or it could have been one of her cats jumping off the chair. She's not sure. :lol:

Must be something like that. Now under 25+dbz and still SN- with tiny flakes, i've been under 15 dbz lake bands that were twice as intense. It's possible we're still saturating since it really only started snowing an hour or so ago.
