CoastalWx
Well then those posts you had of it not being a torch pattern may prove incorrect There is mild and then torch. I don't think it is a torch pattern here, but like I told you..it probably will be above normal.

ChrisM
Family tradition dating to...2011? When is your mountain opening? I've been making snow since 2005, and not with one of those stupid $1000 things you can buy. My rig is entirely homemade.

powderfreak
Sweet. I would take it 25.2 now Coldest night of the season so far was 22F. Might beat that Sweet...I'm seeing a 21F already in northern ORH county. I'm not going to get nearly as cold as forecast because of upslope snow showers and clouds that just will not quit. Still only 29F at Morrisville-Stowe Airport, and the ASOS has been showing some -SN obs with 0.01" melted past hour so its measurable. I was hoping to pull of a low well into the teens (forecast is for upper teens) but that's not happening if these upslope snow showers continue to develop over Mansfield and roll down RT 108 past home. Looks like its snow globing it up and down the Mountain Road (108) this evening. Even if we won't go low tonight, its nice to see the snow globe machine activated so early in the season. The usual rule is it'll snow slow falling fat dendrites if the -10C isotherm at H85 moves over the area, haha.

N. OF PIKE
The Euro is definitely not out to sea, as it still brings some moderate precip into the area, but it's nothing remotely close to the 12z or earlier runs. Pretty remarkable trends over the last 24 hours and even the Euro fell victim to it. Imagine the mayhem if this was a month from now. Yikes. N. OF PIKE
models shifting around like nervous freshmen in backseat with cheerleader Euro is SH$T for sne. "SE occludes and relatively dry for sne". (paraphrasing earthlights response to me in nyc thread) not that you should have total confidence in it as this point as it's has waffled but not a good trend at all. weathafella
BOS went below freezing slightly earlier vs climo normal using the prior database (1971-00). Normal date was 11/7. Always a good sign to do this earlier vs later. Most of the Boston area hit AOB freezing a few weeks ago with a prior cold push.
