blackngoldrules
NWS has backed off of their original forecast. They're saying 2-4 total through tomorrow evening. I think they did this last week as well right before the event started and we ended up getting their initial forecast. We'll see what happens. These clippers are pretty weak so maybe each one drops an inch or two with a little LES mixed in.
colonel717
Watching the radar, there was nothing showing up for Bethel Park and given how bright it was out there was surprised to look outside and it has started snowing very lightly and starting to pick up. It is so cold, its already laying.
RitualOfTheTrout
Had a very light but steady snow since about 10am. Not much on the ground though. Starting to pick up a bit now.

Hopefully that heavier line to the north pivots thru so we can at least salvage an inch.
blackngoldrules
If you're south of Pittsburgh, you've seen very little from this one so far. A weak system to begin with and the bulk of the moisture has stayed north so far.
north pgh
If you're south of Pittsburgh, you've seen very little from this one so far. A weak system to begin with and the bulk of the moisture has stayed north so far. I've only picked up about a half inch so far today but it is now snowing the hardest it has all day. Very fine snow but visibility has dropped to about 3/4 mile. My side street is now snow covered. The heavier batch looks to be moving south. north pgh
Finished with 1.5 inches today. Very fluffy. The 1-2 verified.
Rolling Snowed
This system reminded me how happy I am I don't do this for a living anymore...I joked with my wife as I was spending the whole day with her ...I would've been so tired and miserable about the busted forecast.....so happy for the bust now...less to shovel..can't wait for the 50s next weekend. north pgh
Picked up another 1/2 inch of fluffy snow overnight.
RitualOfTheTrout
I measured about 2 inches this morning. Roads were pretty dicey around here between say 5:00pm - 8:00pm when the more moderate returns were hitting us. Looks like NWS discontinued the Advisory last night due to lack or organization with today's clipper. Probably will see another 1-2 though. Looks like a pretty active week as we start to slowly moderate again.

I think most places in Allegheny county will have 2 day totals in the the 2" to 4" range, so not really a bust. I just think they were a little quick with original totals and the advisory. I'll probably wind up with between 3" and 4" total, but it was low impact do to being spread out over about 30 hours

colonel717
Intense snow band about to move across the northern edge of the Pgh intl airport. Nice bonus snow as a prelude to the 2-4 tomorrow afternoon and night. Coming down pretty good.

north pgh
Anyone hearing thunder? Did you? I don't see any lightning strikes on the radars. BTW I am under a band and everything is snow covered.

jwilson
WWA tomorrow for 3-5" - which means another 1-2" probably haha. Weird activity lately. Still waiting for something stronger to hit us, but it doesn't look like this winter is it.

RitualOfTheTrout
Another coating to 1/4 inch tonight. Roads are covered again. Nice big dendrites falling right now. Tomorrow looks interesting, although I am only in the 1-2 range, so hoping for a 25 mile North trend.
north pgh
Just had to shovel the driveway to go pick up my son after the game. An inch of very fluffy snow.
blackngoldrules
My forecast is for 2-4 total tomorrow and I'm technically not under an advisory but that's just because I'm technically in Allegheny County, but just barely. Washington County is under an advisory and I'm right on the border.
north pgh
Snow is coming down steady here. Already putting down a coating.
north pgh
Moderate snow moving into Washington and Greene counties. It looks like the models are right and the heaviest of snow will be just south of Allegheny County. I myself like most of you have light snow picking up in intensity but not accumulating on the street or driveway. I probably have about 1/2 inch of new snow on top of my current snow depth. Mailman
Coming down at a moderate clip here. Looks to be picking up here shortly. Not sticking to the pavement, however.
blackngoldrules
Starting to pick up more in Bethel Park. I'm on the northern fringe of the heavier stuff right now. It's just been a very light snow up until now.
ChalkHillSnowNut
Getting alot heavier in bethel.....peters was pretty snowy and I just got home here and street is covered now
RitualOfTheTrout
Not much here, just enough to cover the roads. Less than a quarter inch. This one looks like the models nailed it pretty good. Definitely a South of the city event. Pretty decent stretch of wintry weather, I think it has snowed every day in some form since the Arctic Front went through. jwilson
Another underperformer. Snow may not be over but the system once again lacked moisture so it kept the snow fairly light. Probably an inch, two tops. I don't expect much more accumulation.
