Some pretty wicked snow squalls out there. I woke up around 6:00am this morning to heavy snow and wind. Roads were covered and picked up close to an inch in about a half hour. After the snow let up, the snow on the roads melted off but was still a sight to see after highs in the 50s and 60s yesterday.

On the drive to work I went trough another one just North of Holiday Park / Plum area and it was pouring snow. Looked like well over an inch with high winds. Probably close to blizzard conditions albeit only for a brief period of time.

6z GFS and 12z NAM both looked pretty juiced for the Sunday Clipper. Hopefully that trend continues. Verbatim would be 3-5 inches I think, until 12z GFS goes poof with our luck.

Sunday Clipper looks a little drier, still maybe 1-3 inches.

It looks like a train of 3 clippers in a row starting Sunday thru next week. (If the GFS holds)

Not big producers but nevertheless could be a light snowy week.

Yeah, 12z is pretty weak looking now. I hadn't been really following the models and just saw the NAM and 6z GFS looked nice. I figured 12z would bring in the reality check.

It looks like we are looking at a general 1-2 inches tomorrow and maybe another inch of snow showers on Sunday.

Man it is cold outside.

I am up to a balmy 19 degrees.

And then maybe some more accumulating snow early next week when another clipper rolls through. It's amazing just a couple of days ago I was outside without a jacket on.

so what is it gonna be tomorrow?... 1-2 like I saw here or 4-6 like the NWS is saying now?....

NWS is saying 4-6 through Sunday at 7PM I'd think we verify on the lower end, but they are counting on ratios of 20:1. With that said, all it takes is .2 between the 2 systems and LES to verify. Seems pretty reasonable.

This reminds me of the conversations we had over a week ago. We thought their 4-6 call was a bit high initially, but it ended up verifying when all was said and done. We saw what high ratios and a little LES at the end can do. We might see similar with this one.
