Eskimo Joe
Timing can't be worse for the morning commute I don't believe it's going to be too bad. Roads are warm and the temps are quite marginal.
Mallow
Seems like we're settling on a 1-3 inch event here in State College. I'll take it!
Santa Clause
Non event really, at least road condition wise.
Santa Clause
Hey just looked at NAM and GFS..both have us over .2" qpf!!! I'll take it.
Santa Clause
Looks good for East of Harrisburg to Lancaster according to AFD. Also said coating to an inch in State College and a dusting north of there due to sharp cut off. Hooray!!! lol.
JamieOber
Non event really, at least road condition wise. Why? Temps below freezing at start, been cold lately, early morning.
EasternUSWX
This event will surprise. CTP says banding could enhance amounts over 4". We shall see.
Scummyratguy
Temps on way home already said 34. Feels downright cold here (East Prospect, York County). Alot of people in conversation tonight have NO idea it might/will snow.
PennMan
Why? Temps below freezing at start, been cold lately, early morning. Not sure where that is coming from, it's plenty cold. I even saw a few ponds in Snyder County that retained a skim of ice all day today. It has been cold enough recently to cool the ground and pavement significantly. Already down to 26° in Bellefonte. Santa Clause
One worry the State College and North bunch have to worry about is low dewpoints....it could easily eat away at the 1 or 2 tenths of precip a lot of us have painted over us. GrandmasterB
Weather World going with a nice size band of 2-5 across the southeast zones. I'll take it.
canderson
I'm gonna call underperformed on this one. My guess: York: 1.4" MDT: 1.8" LNS: 2.1" UNV: .9"
Itunis
I'm gonna call underperformed on this one. My guess: York: 1.4" MDT: 1.8" LNS: 2.1" UNV: .9" .5"-1" seems about what will happen up here in State College but I wouldn't be surprised to see little more than a dusting with how weak precip looks to be. With CTP seeming confident that temps will cooperate at least down to the Harrisburg area the issue looks to be if you guys can get under some decent banding with this quick hitter. Santa Clause
Is RAP a reliable model?? It has solid precip over whole state on latest run.

MAG5035
Still at camp til later tomorrow, which with the spotty cell reception and limited internet is why i havent really posted on this storm all weekend. Hoping to see a couple inches of snow in the woods tomorrow morning. Looks like you south central and sus valley guys should have a decent snowfall to start things off on the right foot. From what I've seen I'm thinking general 2-3 inch amounts in the advisory area and perhaps up to 4 or 5 inches if we can get some banding established. Back in the Altoona/ State College corridor I think could see an inch or two with a chance we could see better banding.

Yorkpa25
This has bust written all over it. Hate to say it. Already 33 degrees will be mostly rain. Wow was convinced it was going to achieve but I was fooled again. Sorry for the banter , but needed to vent
Santa Clause
You don't need to worry about temps...its ragged radar I'd be looking at.
NeffsvilleWx
Why is everything always called a bust before anything even happens? Sandy was a "bust," this system is a "bust," can we just relax and see where mother nature takes us? That being said, temps have risen to 37 degrees here, light drizzle. NWS still sticking with 2-4. And I don't see how this event could ever be called a bust to begin with. "OH NO I DIDN'T GET THE 1-2" OF SNOW I WAS FORECASTED TO RECEIVE. BUST BUST BUST." Think some people are going to find themselves without a weather forum if they don't change. Back to weather, have light snow and 30.7, with .6 on the snow board.
