EasternUSWX
Eastern you might want to think about developing one or two set color scales with correcponding snow values and including a legend on your maps. These elements would give a far superior visual presentation than what you have now. I have that for accumulation maps this is just a threat map. No need to try to squeeze all that wordy info onto my map.

Santa Clause
That's even debatable counting time of day and 2m temps. How does EURO look?? Heard sheared and terrible.
EasternUSWX
That's even debatable counting time of day and 2m temps. How does EURO look?? Heard sheared and terrible. Same as other models. 1-2" for southern pa. 2m temps will be 32-33 not a issue. Timing is also early morning so shouldn't be that big of an issue either. Ground is pretty frozen up after past two days.

Eskimo Joe
Not incredibly familiar with METAR format, but does that say vis is 9 statute miles with snow? A minus sign indicates light precipitation (i.e.: -SN), no prefix is moderate (i.e.: RA), a plus sign represents precipitation (i.e.: +SN). Boy oh boy did that storm disappear lol. So long as the pacific side stinks we have no chance. Especially with La Nada.

Mallow
At least the 00z models have been an improvement. At this point I'll settle for an inch or two.
Jmister
At least the 00z models have been an improvement. At this point I'll settle for an inch or two. Yeah I was just about to say it looks like people gave up on this a bit prematurely! The 00z NAM and GFS have ground-whitening snow for most of us south of I-80, with possibly several inches in the southern Susquehanna Valley per the NAM... BTW, was looking at the F-6 UNV data on AccuWx Pro, have to go back 1997 to find a colder Nov than our current -3.8 and it doesn't look like the end of week warmup will do a lot to up that. Harrisburg is -3.1.

Scummyratguy
NWS has my zone in YoCo at 1-2 inches for Tonight, and 1-3 for Tomorrow, all snow, no mention of mixed precip. They're all-in I guess.

CarlislePaWx
NWS snowfall map says 2.0" total for me. Think it will turn out a bit more in the end, however, any event that gives 2 or more is great because it takes about that much to completely cover the grass. While I was never sure about the amounts for this event, I continually thought NWS was crazy to keep thinking that my area would see a mix/rain here. Dangelo was the met putting out the earlier forecasts and I thought he liked snow. Not so sure now...he constantly (from yesterday til even earlier this morning) kept mentioning liquid coming into lower susq. I think you can read a lot into the discos these guys put out and their personal forecasting biases....even though in theory they should all interpret the models similarly. I always consider seeing snow on a car a win for November. This system will be judged the same to me. That said I'd be ecstatic to get 2".
