Went for a drive around the neighborhood, very bad out. There's alot of trees down as well as flooding in some spots. Def one of if not the worst rain/windstorms i've went through personally.

Also, def snow on the roads on the high side of Johnstown, CTP had report of 9 inches on Mt Davis and thundersnow on Laurel Summit.

Winds have settled down for the time being to a more normal level of windy. Couple reports of building damage in the city of Altoona. I do believe the Park Furniture Building was an abandoned one.

ALTOONA, BLAIR COUNTY - Hurricane Sandy left all kinds of emergencies throughout the Blair County after she went through.

The Altoona Fire Department opened their Emergency Operations Center because they're getting so many calls. At one point they were dealing with 70 calls at one time.

One of the major calls was the Park Furniture Building collapse in the Juniata section of the city. Another major call happened when part of an apartment complex collapsed in the city. A brick wall fell off during the storm. The apartment complex is right next to the Kentucky Fried Chicken on Union Avenue in the city. Fire crews have the road blocked off to keep people safe from any more falling bricks.

Altoona Fire Chief Tim Hileman wanted everyone to be off the streets because there are a lot of problems like this in the city.
