hammerz_nailz
Thats somewhat of a saving grace here too, bare tree's that allow the wind to filter through. My house faces east and there's a 45-50' beach in front with 60% leaves. It's always the last to lose it's leaves and I'm worried if it comes down it'll be right on the house. Mr Torchey
We are dropping wind forecast based on 12z models and ACY landfall... 55-65 mph gusts inland / 60-75 mph coast. Thats great news Ryan, we just picked up my grandmother a few miles away and saw no sign of any wind damage at all, minor to moderate coastal flooding but encouraging seeing landfall well before high tides tonight in the sound, NJ is just awful but I hope we have dodged a major bullet. Winds have slacked here the last 20 minutes or so, maybe gusting to 30 with very light rain

ChrisM
Mistake? Dude I don't know. Even on Long Island the gusts aren't that high and here the gusts are like 20 minutes apart and they're like 30mph lol. Not exactly what I thought would happen. It's New England...the events neverh appen as bad as they are modeled. Look at the 5 tor threats this summer lol. That being said coast still looks fooked.
