Bruinsyear
On the 27th floor at work in financial district. Windows facing SE, rocking and rattling up here! Leaving work shortly. I can't even believe they kept us open. Some overwashing going on at high tide in the Seaport from my vantage point.

Hope you'll still be posting later tonight. Outside looks worse than Battery Park right now. Winds seem to be coming in intense pulses with intervening 10 mins of dead calm, as others have noted. CT Rain
Hurricane is screaming fast now, looks to be ashore in hours, good news for LI sound? Not sure. 22-23z landfall I think in ACY based on radar but stinger jet out of the south will be very bad news for the Sound. This isn't the typical south to north landfall where winds veer westerly and the Sound drains. This is going to be bad.
