HIPPYVALLEY
been flipping through the three network evening news broadcasts, extent of the damage starting to come into perspective NY/NJ - epic damage. nothing really from CT yet. I can only imagine. I was stunned at how bad NJ coast was. NY subways got wrecked. 20-30' of water in some stations!

CoastalWx
I feel awful for the damage, but it's shocking to see just how low these places are built to sea level. Not even a dune protecting them in some cases.

Even dunes, that's gonna be tough to stop the water. But like you said..it's a risk you take. I think this storm may change some planning going forward. ROOSTA
How the electrical power was maintained is nothing short of a miracle. Many tree limbs snapped all around my hood. I had stockage fence (3) sections blown-out. A line of Pine trees crashed into the neighbors yard clipping the house with the auto in driveway still buried. I'm lucky and my heart and prayers go to all the suffering. Today I slept and slept....burnt out.
