Ray said he may not have power for days. Lots of trees down.

I so wanted to weenie his FB post about NBD winds to 45 the other day but refrained. I can only imagine if this had hit a month ago with fully leaved trees, thank you early frosts. We have no power and no damage, can not say that for many friends. Out first thing in the AM to help.

Ryan,

Any word on how far inland water has made it in the towns from New Haven to old Saybrook? All I saw was Malloys message which implied the biggest concerns were BDR and west. But the last I saw on you station of OS around 5pm did not look good.

Much worse than Irene. Just shy of Carol in the Westbrook/Old Saybrook area.

Lots of inundation. Many houses likely flooded... some destroyed.

yeah was thinking the same thing... the flooding in lower Manhattan and Jersey City is pretty historic and devastating, but that's just where all the camera attention was tonight...

I think we'll see some pretty shocking photos of smaller communities in Long Island sound, coastal CT, and coastal NJ when the sun rises tomorrow

It's happening right now, we just can't see it unfold on TV / social media
