CoastalWx
Chris, might depend on radar? These echoes also might be tilted in the vertical, so depending on the radar you choose, it may look like it is raining.
kdxken
Sustained winds were better than Irene but all in all this actually ended up not as bad as I thought it was going to be. 41kts peak thus far. Not hearing much in the way out outages here anymore. +1 . I don't know what exactly I received for gusts, guessing around 50mph. No loss of power either, not that I am complaining... Nate
Convective shower just went over with torrential rain. Interestingly, winds if anything, calmed down during it, only to increase again once it passed. There was a big green flash during it and a power surge, so someone nearby must have had some wind. ice1972
Gusting to 45 here during squalls - power flickering but on for now. The full moon is out between squalls and you can see the clouds screaming by - awesome sky. Good luck to the shore tonight at high tide. Yes. About 20 minutes ago it was really ripping here all the while the full moon was out and the clouds were just screamin by.....so cool....in a lull right now...I'm shocked the power is still on...during Irene it was out within the first hour..
