NorEastermass128
Oh boy, the facebook world is already exploding with bust calls. Like 80 statuses in the last hour that have said exactly that. Obviously they haven't turned on the TV. There is more to the world than just Torrington lol Haha..my facebook is being inundated with pics of downed trees and power lines. OceanStWx
Another strong surge of winds here. Isle of Shoals gusting to 76 mph now. I though 80 was a good bet there, now let's see if that can translate into PWM. Just had some really good gusts as a band of rain moved through. powderfreak
BOX VAD showing an impressive 40-50kts at 1,000ft...and 70kts at 3,000ft. 80kts up around 5-6,000ft. LLJ must've passed because models were showing those 60-80kt winds down as low as 1,000ft or even a little below...not up at 3-6kft.
Chrisrotary12
http://www.ssd.noaa.gov/PS/TROP/floaters/18L/imagery/wv-animated.gif Would that be the LLJ developing southeast of Nantucket?

ORH_wxman
Some of the strongest gusts yet. Temps are rising which is probably helping mix a little better. Those squalls seem to produce good winds too.

Mr. Windcredible!
We've seen a few gusts to 60-65 mph here...but they're really drawn out. Really expected some large limbs to come down but we've been ok so far. Power finally went though.

Clinch Leatherwood
http://www.ssd.noaa....wv-animated.gif Would that be the LLJ developing southeast of Nantucket? I think so...HRRR has had a pretty good handle on the winds. Rages up towards Boston probably associated with what you're seeing over the next two hours. My time in the sun (best winds) are done and I survived yet another major event without a power outage.

Cold Miser
Regardless scott said to expect the worse around 7 here, so it's way too early to call it a bust. Why is "bust" even in the picture. It's all relative to many variables. I'm guessing people in Atlantic City aren't calling this a bust.
ROOSTA
Highest gusts of the day should be achieved between now and midnight. Power is flickering more frequently.

LLJ must've passed because models were showing those 60-80kt winds down as low as 1,000ft or even a little below...not up at 3-6kft. Looks like they got 50-55 knots down to 1,000 feet there a couple hours ago...the 65+ knots was more along the coast though and not interior SE MA. But if the models were correct, we should be seeing 50 knots at 1,000 feet through 00z. So perhaps they slightly over estimated the winds there.
