Here is one website to track MA power outages....

https://www1.nationa...utageMap-MA-RES

Here's a portion of Western Mass:

http://www.wmeco.com/outage/outagemap.aspx

And here's CT:

http://www.cl-p.com/outage/outagemap.aspx?sec=fb

37 customers (lol) without power already.

I have some other links in the Storm Totals/Damage section that might be helpful along with some obs links on my storm monitoring page, FWIW.

I was in the valley for most of the day with the exception of some occasional drizzle it was calm and dry there. It's been breezy and drizzle here which kind of surprised me. Looking forward toward tomorrow!!

Here is another one for CT that covers the gray area in the map you posted.

50/44

NE 4G10mph

Hoping for my first 50mph+ gust on the Davis tomorrow.

That would be awesome. I'm testing out a WRF gridpoint extraction script and did one for 10 meter wind gusts (in mph) for your location. Do you have a good wind instrument exposure? (I never manage to live in a place with a yard that works well for wind).

How's your surroundings? Is your house vulnerable to Oaks? I'm lucky that I don't have any large diameter trees anywhere near my house. Most likely, something could clip the roof.

I am quite concerned about my house. I have a 5 pronged monstrous Oak right in front of my house in front yard.

I have a huge tall ,straight white pine off the side of the house to the right of the deck, and another large Oak on the NW facing side of house,,but that one would probably go down the other way since the wind direction is going to be E/se.

The white pine really concerns me

Here's hoping that pine cleaves your home neatly down the middle.

Maximum damage FTW

White Pines suck. I would be concerned about that as well. We lost a few in the neighborhood here as they snapped off the top and that was with only 40-50mph gusts.
