A large hemlock (abt 14") just came down with a strong gust a few moments ago in my yard. No damage to the house or the street...it fell in perfect spot.

Wiz - Clinton Street in Stafford Springs

Thank You!

ok, we get the point.

This is for skywanr/NWS...not me. If it bothers you talk to them about it.

In order for the NWS to verify reports or reports to make it to the LSR street names are needed.

Congrats..We rocking now.

Yoi gusting over 60?

Hard to tell but I would say that gust was over 50...who trees are bowing with some of these gusts. I have an anemometer but because it only samples every 48 seconds it's missing some of these gusts but I can estimate using the Beaufort scale.

I'm so lucky because the tree did not fall on the road a power line or part of the house...just a perfect fall.

Lol, I haven't gusted over 50 today, and I'm on the immediate shoreline, and some much farther inland have seen 60+ mph.

Interesting.

Definitely a lull on the central CT shoreline I think from me (Lyme) to you. But it seems to be getting eroded... gradually picking up here but I doubt I have gusted over 50 yet either.
