weatherMA
Wow. Look at the difference between 18z and 63hr and 12z at 69. 12z sinks the storm south into S PA while 18z landfalls further north and continues almost due west into CPA/NPA. Logan11
If this as a Nor'easter we would all be saying the northward correction is underway. Maybe it will end up north of NYC, more toward Eastern LI or the Block before all is said and done. ' Its definitely northeast of its 12z run...a solid 60 miles. Amped
NHC moved their track cone northward...see image. GFS moves a bit east... Read the 5PM Disco. NHC puts out decptive graphics by their own admission DRAWING A STRAIGHT LINE BETWEEN THE 48- AND 72-HOUR FORECAST POINTS DOES NOT QUITE DEPICT HOW CLOSE THE CENTER IS EXPECTED TO COME TO LONG ISLAND. Clinch Leatherwood
Chalk another one up to NE shift...00z should be telling . Yeah northward ho like it or not. If there are future adjustments they won't be south I don't think.

ORH_wxman
Stop with the regional bickering...I'm going on a mass banning spree if that keeps up. I usually very patient, but its eroding the closer we get to this storm. Any region is welcome to post in another as long as it is relevant to the thread discussion for the region's subforum they are posting in.

moneypitmike
Why would I be laughing facing this storm at my location? I find it strange this close in to even joke about stuff like that...this is serious its not snow. Joe--I think you misunderstood me. There comments were funny--the reality of the situation is far from it. I tried to point that out in my statement. If that got lost, I spoke clumsily. NorthShoreWx
Record high winds I think it was over 100 mph (107?) perhaps NYC record from Hazel was 113mph. But I think it was at the Battery on a rooftop (Whitehall St?).

bobbutts
18z gfs is nasty this is sick: 925mb winds... This image basically says pinpointing the landfall is useless for those of us NE of the projected path. Look at how far detached the strongest winds are from the center.
