Plokoon111
Not to far from my house. Surprised no trees fell down in my yard. They are warriors right now, still standing.
canderson
Don't want to get too confident over here in Harrisburg, but we seem to be missing on the heaviest rain. In HBG too, we are getting by far more wind than the rest of the lower valley so far.
famartin
6ABC reported winds gusted to 70mph at NE Philly Not at the airport, so far as I can tell. BTW, per NHC Sandy is already extratropical: ALL OF THESE CONSIDERATIONS LEAD US TO CONCLUDE THAT THE MOST APPROPRIATE CLASSIFICATION AT ADVISORY TIME IS EXTRATROPICAL. White_Mtn_Wx
For living in a spot that loses power once a month on a breezy day, we haven't lost it yet. A few flickers and that's it. Probably will happen but thankfully the trees have shedded their leaves. Makes a HUGE difference.

runupthescore
Oh. Hi. Orientation is actually pretty good for Harrisburg and worse for Baltimore and Washington My man. That's very good news for me, after seeing some NWS estimates of us being in the bullseye this morning. I'm happy to be a little selfish after going through Lee last year. Appreciate everyone's opinions and observations throughout this past 10 days. This is an area of my fascination, but certainly not my expertise. Parsley
Winds gusting over 80 mph (KISP) on Long Island with the backside of Sally. Wonder what that means for us all once her center moves west of us.
Boch23
Been fairly calm here in Atlantic County for the past 30min. Are the major winds done for us? Sounds like the center may be close to you? But in terms of wind you should expect winds for a while:
famartin
Winds gusting over 80 mph (KISP) on Long Island with the backside of Sally. Wonder what that means for us all once her center moves west of us. Seems to be associated with those bands of showers. If they survive all the way west to this area, watch out! dryslotted
I think I just saw a transformer flash out my front window. Definitely wasn't lightning. seeing flashes here too, and that's what we concluded they must be. the first we saw from inside were bluish, and seemed to emanate from the ground, so we assumed it was down live wire. no power issues here though so not sure. I went out in the yard after that to check out the winds, and saw few white flashes from the complete opposite direction. not sure...winds gusty, but largely mediocre here right now...
