BeauDodson
Great video and post Beau! What type of snowflake structures are coming down? Dendrites? They look pretty good sized in the video. Dendrites - maybe some plates. Not 100% sure on type of dendrites -
Chicago WX
5:45 PM - snow coming down fast and furious. We are measuring between 5.5 and 6.5 inches. Heavy-wet snow. Some branches have broken from the weight of the snow. Great vid. So jealous. To all you there, enjoy the snowstorm.

Probably going to need someone to shovel our car out - that is more like it. Will be curious to see how much snow falls tonight. Have no idea what to expect - I have some guesses. Water content has to be very high.

brettjrob
LSR had 14" at Bowden 4 ENE (E of Elkins) and that was two hours ago (8:30pm EDT). I probably would've made the 20-hour trek for this insane event if I could've been guaranteed of getting out within a couple days.
Amped
Wind is blowing snow off roofs and trees. Not strong enough to knock out power though, which is perfect(Knock on wood). If we do get sleet or rain it will probably be in the dryslot where precip is light anyway.
